  • 1993~1997, Doctor of Mineralogy, Petrology and Mineral Deposits, China University of Geosciences (Beijing)

Professional Experience

1994, assistant researcher of Institute of Geology, CAGS

1999, research fellow of Institute of Geology, CAGS

1.Participated in Chinese Antarctic Expedition organized by the State for four times (7th 1990/1991, 9th 1992/93, 15th 1998/99 and 21st 2004/05)

2.Finding of a combination of borosilicate minerals (Grandidierite-Prismatine-Tourmaline) in Antarctic region;

3.Finding and report of special phosphate minerals (new polytype of wagnerite) in the Antarctic region;

4.Study on formation mechanism of sillimanite and Al2SiO5 mineral polytypes, and relationships between formation of sillimanite and anatexis, and challenge of conventional understandings on the composition of this type of rocks

5.Distinguishing of anhydrous anatexis and hydrous anatexis of high-grade metamorphic rock regions;

6.Understandings on migmatization mechanism, and different settings of amphibolite facies and granulite facies metamorphism, and their possible relations with granite genesis.

Research interests

  • metamorphism and geological evolution of medium-high grade regions, involving anatexis, migmatization mechanism, granite genesis and properties of Pan-African structures, etc.
