Scientific Research Projects

I have been committed to the research on the Late Paleozoic - Early Mesozoic conodonts, stratigraphy, Paleontology and biological paleogeography. I have been responsible for and participate in more than 20 projects in the National Ministry of Science and Technology, the National Natural Science Foundation of China, China Geological Survey and other scientific research and international cooperation. Main programs I have been responsible for in recent years: scientific and technological basic work special project of Ministry of Science and Technology: “Establishment of the stratigraphic standard of China—Perfection of the Stratigraphic Chart of China”, the Natural Science Foundation of China: general program of “Stratigraphic Correlation of High - Precision between South China and Tibet during the major Turning period of the Permian - Triassic Biotic Evolution”, planned project of China Geological Survey “Study on the Establishment of Main Stratigraphic Standard and the Application of New Stratigraphic Method in China”, work program of China Geological Survey “Study on the Perfection and Comparison of Stratigraphic System in Different Stratigraphic Region”, “Comparison of Paleozoic - Triassic Marine Stratigraphic Division in Yangtze Platform”, and “Study on the Protection and Standardization of Typical Sections in China”. Recently, serving as Executive Vice Secretary-General, I have assisted the National Commission on Stratigraphy of China to organize the compiling of the "Stratigraphic Chart of China (2014)", editing and revision of "Stratigraphic Guide of China (2014) and (2016)" and “Division and correlation of National Continental Stratum and Perfection of stage of Maritime Stratum”. A series of important research achievements were made in stratigraphy, paleontology, biological paleogeography and palaeoecology, and more than 140 papers and 3 monographs were published on scientific journals both at home and abroad. Also, I won one first prize of Science and Technology Achievement Award of Ministry of Land and Resources.
