Professional Experience

In recent years, on the basis of the study on the tectonic deformation, magmatic evolution and mineralization in the Sanjiang tectonic belt, southeastern Tibet, showed: 1) the Ailaoshan Neoproterozoic magmatic belt in the northern margin of the Indochina block was formed in the continental arc setting;

2) the ages of every structural deformation style, and

3) the sapphirine-bearing high-pressure pelitic granulite in Ailaoshan - Jinshajiang tectonic belt for the first time.

These studys are very important to constrain the magmatic and tectonic evolution of the Ailaoshan - Jinshajiang tectonic belt, the boundary between the Indochina and the South China blocks. Furthermore, the study on the typical polymetallic deposits in the Ailaoshan - Jinshajiang tectonic belt, show that the formation of them is main related to the faults and brittle-ductile structure, which is key to understand the regional metallogenic regularity and metallogenic potentials.

Research interests

  • Research fields: Tectonics, magmatism and mineralization.

    Research direction: ductile deformation and it’s related with the evolution of the orogenic belt, and relationship between magmatism-mineralization and amalgamation of blocks.

    The study area: major tectonic metallogenic belts, such as Greater Himalayas, Tethyan Himalayas, the West Kunlun, Qilian Mountains, Northern Qaidam, Altyn Tagh, Hoh Xil and the Sanjiang region, Southwest China. In the recent years, the study focused on the tectonic deformation, magmatism and mineralization in the Sanjiang tectonic belt, southeastern Tibet.
