Invited by Prof. Trond H. Torsvik, Assistant Director of the Centre of Earth Evolution and Dynamics (CEED), a Norwegian Centre of Excellence hosted by the Department of Geosciences at the University of Oslo, Dr. ZHANG Hongrui visited CEED to conduct cooperative research and wrote up joint papers on the evolution of the Tethyan region from January 14 to March 9, 2020. During his stay, ZHANG Hongrui studied how the continental convergence and deformation process had been stimulated through CEED’s Gplates (software).
